New SSS Contribution for 2021

Effective this month of January 2021, the SSS contribution increases to 13%, the Monthly Salary Credit (MSC) to Php 3,000 and the maximum MSC to Php 25,000. Aside from this increase, there is a an additional contribution called the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF).

The new law is effective March 11, 2019 and it requires private firms to pay "Salary differential" to employees for the duration of employee maternity leave. Salary differential is the difference between the actual salary of the employee and the SSS Maternity Benefit paid by SSS.
